The New Logo should primarily be used in vector format as it was designed.

The correct file name is: AC_logo_vector_approved.svg

The word “vector” is emphasized because this is an important part of the “.svg” extension,
meaning “
Scalable Vector Graphic.”

Scalable means everything remains in proportion and will not change when resized.

Vector means the design is done by lines and curves (like a font), not by bitmaps (like a photo).
That is what makes it scalable without distortion.
The advantage of a vector file is that it is scalable. It can be enlarged to a large poster and still retain sharp edges and clear fonts. It can also be scaled down to a business card size and retain crisp resolution. Our logo is also designed with a white circle background which is invisible unless the logo is placed on a dark background, like shown here with the crescent.

You can import the SVG file into most programs (including all Microsoft) by treating it as a picture. If it comes in large, then scale it to the size needed using the corner “handles.” Some programs will not accept an SVG file, but the logo can easily be changed to bitmap by importing it into another program and then doing a screen-capture or using a “save as” function. What happens changes the vector into a bitmap, essentially taking a picture of the logo. There are many file extensions for bitmaps like: jpg, bmp, pgn, gif, and so on.
