Seema Farhad

Office Manager & Domestic Violence Project Specialist.

Seema Farhad has been a dedicated member of the Afghan Coalition since 2000. She manages a variety of projects that support the Afghan community, including domestic violence support, mental health initiatives, and microenterprise development. Seema holds a BA in English and a Certificate in Business Management from Holy Names University, along with a Dari Medical Interpreter Certificate from Merritt College. She also earned a Language Advocate and Domestic Violence Certificate from APILO to end Domestic Violence.

As a co-creator of the Domestic Violence Support Group curriculum, Seema is fluent in Farsi, Pashto, Urdu, and English. She is deeply involved in mental health advocacy, focusing on trauma recovery and emotional well-being within the Afghan community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Seema launched a food bank and currently manages a community kitchen that empowers women to achieve self-sufficiency. Additionally, she was authorized by the U.S. Census Bureau to assist with census questionnaires and actively mobilized the Afghan community to ensure accurate representation.

In her free time, Seema enjoys spending quality moments with her family and supporting her local community.
